The Design the Back workflow in Teedex allows you to create and customize the back side of your jersey. You can upload your artwork, adjust its position and size, add dynamic Player Name and Player Number fields, and prepare the design for different jersey sizes.
Follow these steps to create your back-side jersey design.

1. Select the Back Canvas
Open your project in the Design tab and select Back from the Jersey Set options. The Back canvas will open, allowing you to create or edit the back-side artwork.
Start with the Master Canvas so you can prepare your primary design before applying it across the available sizes.
2. Upload Your Back Artwork
Click Upload from the left-side menu and select your back-side jersey artwork.
Once uploaded, the artwork will appear on the canvas. You can select it to access the editing options in the top toolbar.
Important: Do not include player names or numbers directly in your background artwork if you want Teedex to personalize them automatically. Add these separately using the dynamic text fields.
3. Adjust Your Artwork
Select the uploaded artwork to access the toolbar at the top of the workspace.
Teedex provides several options to help you adjust the artwork:
Flip: Flip the artwork when required.
Stretch: Adjust the artwork’s width and height freely.
Fit to Page: Fit the artwork to the canvas.
Effects: Apply available visual effects.
Crop: Crop the artwork to the required area.
Apply Mask: Apply a mask to control how the artwork appears.
Width & Height: Adjust the artwork’s dimensions.
Transparency: Control the artwork’s opacity.
Blending Modes: Change how the artwork blends with other design elements.
Lock: Prevent accidental changes to the selected element.
Duplicate: Create a copy of the selected element.
Delete: Remove the selected element.
Copy Style: Copy styling properties where supported.
Use Stretch to adjust the artwork freely, then select Fit to Page when you want it to fit the canvas.
4. Arrange the Artwork Correctly
After positioning your artwork, you may need to adjust its layer order.
Right-click the artwork and select Send to Back when necessary. This helps keep important canvas elements, such as center markings and size labels, visible above the background artwork.
Check that your artwork is aligned correctly and covers the required area before continuing.
5. Add Player Name and Number
Once the background artwork is ready, use the Text tool to add the Player Name and Player Number fields.
Keep these as the original dynamic text elements so Teedex can update them using the player details you provide in the Variation tab.
You can customize their fonts, colors, gradients, sizes, and other available text properties to match your jersey design.
For detailed instructions, see Player Name & Number and Text Customization.
6. Apply the Design Across Sizes
When your back-side design is complete, click Apply to All to apply it across the available jersey size artboards.
Review the resulting designs and make any necessary adjustments to ensure the artwork fits each size correctly.
7. Continue to the Variation Tab
Once your Back design is ready, move to the Variation tab to add player names, numbers, sizes, and sleeve types.
Teedex uses these details to generate personalized back-side jersey variations automatically.
You can then open the Export tab to review the generated files and download them using your preferred settings.
Tip: Keep your background artwork separate from dynamic player information. This allows Teedex to personalize each jersey without requiring you to manually edit the name and number for every player.
